Medical Imaging An MRI a strong magnetic field to generate images of your body. It takes pictures of parts of the body that don’t show up well in x-rays, CT scans or ultrasounds. Our MRI units are bariatric-friendly and quieter than most machines.

Midwifery Services – West End Midwives

For Midwife patients at Humber River Health, the midwife, provides independent continuum midwifery services throughout pregnancy, labour, and birth. As the midwife remains in attendance for 2-4 hours following delivery, immediate postpartum care for the mother and baby will be done by the midwife. Mobile Crisis Intervention Team

The MCIT responds to mental health emergencies in our community. A uniformed police officer and a mental health nurse from Humber River Health provides skilled and compassionate care in emergencies.

Nuclear medicine

Nuclear medicine takes images of many parts of the body, including the lungs, heart and skeletal system.

Nurse-led outreach team

These nurses support long-term care homes to help prevent emergency department visits.

Psychogeriatric outreach team

This team is composed of nurses with expertise in psychogeriatrics, along with a psychogeriatrician. Together, they provide assessment, treatment and short-term follow-up for residents over 65 years old.

Self-care dialysis partnership
