Nuclear Medicine

revolution ctNuclear Medicine is the use of radioactive tracers or isotopes via injection, inhalation or ingestion to visualize specific body organ function or as a therapy procedure for specific diseased targeted organs. Common clinical applications include bone, lung, thyroid and renal scans, and myocardial perfusion studies.

HRH has a dedicated cardiac camera, two general imaging cameras and two SPECT/CT cameras. SPECT/CT is a hybrid camera allowing the fusion of CT and Nuclear Medicine images.

Tests and procedures include:

  • Nuclear Cardiology
  • General Nuclear Medicine
  • Thyroid therapy

Referral by physician required.

Located on the 1st floor close to the Central elevators in the main north/south corridor.
