My name is Carolina Prado. Originally from Brazil, I moved to Toronto in 2014. Before becoming a midwife, I obtained a degree in Psychology and a master’s in Social Psychology, and worked for many years in the field of international development in Latin America and Africa.
My personal experience of giving birth, together with my passion for women’s rights and social justice, led me to midwifery, and I graduated with distinction in Midwifery at Toronto Metropolitan University.

I focus my midwifery practice on the values of social justice, bodily autonomy, and cultural safety. I am passionate about serving immigrant communities, being an immigrant myself. I am honored to serve as a midwife at West End Midwives, providing care in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
