2nd Annual HRH Community Open House

By Humber River Health

Humber River Health was proud to host the 2nd Annual HRH Community Open House yesterday.

Humber River Health had a terrific turnout, opening its doors to welcome more than 850 patients, families and visitors.  It was a great opportunity for visitors to gain a better understanding of HRH, to see what goes on behind the scenes – and to get to know us better – the exceptional physicians, staff, and volunteers who provide trusted care to our community.

Open House visitors had the opportunity to learn more about healthcare professions, the robots that deliver supplies throughout the building and Pepper the robot, the technology-rich Hospital Command Centre & Operating Rooms, the MRI, laboratory, and the new digital technologies Humber River Health uses to deliver patient-centred care. We also hosted a booth on behalf of the North-Western Toronto Ontario Health Team partners to seek feedback from members of the community about the future of healthcare.  A student band from Michael Power/St. Joseph High School played tunes, while visitors explored the hospital. As always, kids enjoyed caring for their stuffed teddy bear at the Teddy Bear Clinic and then took their free teddy bear home.

Humber River Health is looking forward to hosting the 3rd Annual HRH Community Open House next year.
