Strategic Plan

Humber River Hospital looks back on impressive leadership and innovation. Our 2017-20 Strategic Plan laid the foundation of notable achievements: joining the 13 member partners in the Northwestern Toronto Ontario Health Team (NWT OHT); partnering with the Runnymede Healthcare Centre to align levels of patient care; conducting our first digital Town Hall with over 3,000 participants; completing our Staff Engagement Survey with 73% participation; and continuing to provide compassionate, professional and respectful patient care during an unprecedented global pandemic.

We remain committed to forging ahead in patient safety and patient experience, while responding to the needs of our community during COVID-19, by pursuing important short and long-term objectives outlined in our refreshed 2021-23 Strategic Plan. Examples include:

  • Growing targeted specialty programs that are responsive to the needs of our community
  • Establishing a HRH Digital Healthcare Research Institute
  • Continuing to shepherd the development of a long-term care facility
