Strategic Plan

What an exciting time for Humber River Hospital! With the unveiling of North America’s first fully digital hospital after 15 years of planning, we have already accomplished so much. Building on this strong foundation, we are well positioned to leverage our state-of-the-art facility to achieve exceptional patient care for our community.

There’s no doubt we have a lot to celebrate. To ensure we continue and sustain our success, our way forward will be guided by our 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, developed in partnership with our community.

Our team consulted many individual and group consultations with patient and families, community members, primary and community care providers, acute care facilities, educational institutions, Local Health Integration Networks, and municipal and provincial governments. More than 500 HRH management, staff and physicians participated in focus groups, one-on-one interviews and polling technology surveys.

The primary measurement tool used at HRH to measure effectiveness is the Balanced Scorecard. The Scorecard allows us to do that by showing where we are on the right track and where further work and resources may be needed. Humber River Hospital is committed to success; to delivering the highest possible quality of care to our patients and their families. Our Strategic Plan will guide us to future accomplishments as we work “together to deliver innovative and compassionate healthcare in our community”.
