Volunteers in our Summer Student Program are 16 years of age or older and commit to a minimum of two 4-hour shifts on the same day(s) and time(s) each week for the summer months.
The application window for post-secondary students to join the 2026 Summer Program is now closed.
The application for high school students will be available until April 13, 2026. High school students participate in the Summer Program for all of July & August.
Due to the high volume of applications received, only applicants whose interests and availability that match openings will be contacted for an interview.
We are continuing to accept applications for our Year-Round Volunteer Program. Volunteers in this program commit to one 4-hour shift on the same day and time each week for a minimum of one year. Volunteer opportunities in this program are mainly Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm. Please note that evening and weekend opportunities are very limited.

We are lucky to have post-secondary and high school students join our Volunteer Team every summer. From helping patients find their way to welcoming patients as they enter a clinic, to providing friendly visits on an Inpatient Unit, to assisting in the Gift Shop, our team of summer volunteers help to ensure our patients have the best experience possible.
