Masking Update at Humber River Health: February 2026

By Humber River Health

Starting February 10, 2026, masking will no longer be mandatory at Humber River Health across all three sites. With the decline in respiratory virus activity, the Toronto Region IPAC Leads have recommended that hospitals suspend hospital-wide mandatory masking policies.

Your healthcare provider will ask you to wear a mask when additional precautions are specifically required.

If you have any of the following symptoms, please do not visit OR if you are a patient seeking care, please clean your hands, put on a mask and notify a staff immediately:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Chills or Shivers
  • Shortness of breath

Humber will continue to be a “mask friendly” environment and support individual staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, essential care partners, and visitors who choose to wear a mask, or not wear a mask, based on individual level of risk and personal comfort. As such, masks will continue to be made available to everyone in the hospital environment.

Thank you for your cooperation.
