Dr. Rick Zarnett

Dr. Zarnett is the head physician for the Toronto Argonauts Football Team and the orthopaedic surgeon for the York University Sports Medicine Team.

Dr. Zarnett graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School. He completed the five-year Orthopaedic Training Program in the Gallie surgical program at the University of Toronto and then completed a one-year post-residency fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Zarnett has Masters of Science degree from the University of Toronto where he studied cartilage regeneration.

Dr. Zarnett is currently the director of the Don Mills Surgical Centre in Toronto, the head team physician for the Toronto Argonaut Football Club of the Canadian Football League, an Orthopaedic Consultant to the NHLPA, and Orthopaedic Surgeon for the York University Varsity Athletic Department.

Dr. Zarnett was head of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Humber River Health for over 10 years and was on the medical staff as an Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Team of the National Hockey League. Dr. Zarnett also has an academic appointment as Lecturer, Department of Surgery, University of Toronto.

Dr. Zarnett specializes in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery and has extensive experience in both primary and revision ACL reconstruction.
