The introduction of Humber River Health is supported by the release of its 2023-2026 Strategic Plan

TORONTO – Humber River Health is pleased to announce that it is now part of an integrated health network called Humber River Health, reflecting its expansion of community health services and initiatives with community and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team. This announcement signals Humber River Health’s evolving identity as a diversified healthcare provider and enables the organization to expand how it approaches innovation and growth in the future.

Humber River Health brings together Humber River Health, Finch Campus, Church Campus, Research Institute, and the Schulich Centre for Family Medicine.

The launch of Humber River Health coincides with the release of a new Strategic Plan guiding the organization from 2023 to 2026, centred on its vision of “Lighting New Ways in Healthcare.” The Strategic Plan highlights Humber River Health’s position as a leader in healthcare innovation and its desire to assist other healthcare providers in adopting successful strategies that revolutionize patient care.

Looking ahead over the next three years, Humber River Health will be guided by four strategic directions:

1. Embrace equity, diversity and inclusion;
2. Advance the empowerment of our people and patients;
3. Deliver comprehensive, quality care closer to home; and
4. Foster innovation, research and academics.

The development of Humber River Health’s Strategic Plan involved extensive stakeholder engagement and analyses to identify health trends in the community. Research was conducted to understand public perception, population health and demographic data, employee engagement, and patient experience, ensuring that the organization’s direction and transition to a new name align with stakeholder insights and perspectives.
