Every year in the second week of November, Humber River Health (Humber) celebrates Perioperative Nursing Week to recognize the achievements and contributions of nurses who handle care before, during and after surgical procedures.

This year’s 2025 theme is “Behind the Mask: Advocacy, Compassion, and Surgical Excellence,” recognizing and celebrating the incredible dedication, skill, and compassion of perioperative nurses across Canada.

Perioperative nurses consistently seek new opportunities to expand their knowledge, collaborate with organizations and other disciplines, foster an inclusive environment, empower patients and each other, and drive innovation and best practices in surgical care.
