Starting December 30, 2025, Humber River Health will return to department wide masking across all three sites due to a rise in respiratory illnesses. This change will apply to all staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, visitors/essential care partners, and contractors/vendors.

Our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) experts strongly support this step to help keep everyone safe and reduce the risk of outbreaks. The health and well-being of our patients, visitors, staff, and physicians remain our top priority.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Masking is required in all clinical areas at all times by everyone.
• A hospital-approved mask will be available at entrances.
• Masking is optional in common areas such as main corridors, cafeteria, hallways and elevators
• Please clean your hands and wear a mask.

• Patients admitted to in-patient units
